The Painted Mermaid Gallery features artist Brenda Ellis Sauro's
original mermaid art and oil paintings along with husband Michael's
MerMan Metal Sculptures. Also representing artists/instructors Liz M.
Evans, Gene R. Fuller, Murad Sayen, and Geoffrey Workman. Jewelry by
Fairylady Glass and hand-blown glass by Brad Shute. Art classes are
available for both children and adults (beginners and advanced) through
out the year. Life drawing and workshops are also ongoing. First Friday Openings for guest artists are on exhibit
seasonally. These events are listed along with art class schedules on
the gallery's calendar.
Brenda's love for drawing and painting
mermaids developed at an early age influenced by her surroundings of the
ocean and its beaches on Cape Cod where she lived as a child. Her love
of the human figure and the sea are her constant inspiration for her oil
paintings and mermaid art. Brenda's art is also available on Giclee fine
art prints, cards, tiles, mugs and wooden boxes available in her mermaid
gift shop.
Michael Sauro is pictured
with his award winning metal motorcycle sculpture.
You'll find a large collection of Michael's
sculptures at the gallery. From the small sizes that can sit on an end
table in your den, to the very popular garden sizes, wall hangings and the larger
accent and statement pieces.
